"SENDING GOOD THOUGHTS"
Greeting Card
MeiMei:
Yesterday the greater Los Angeles area experienced an earthquake,
magnitude 5.4. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries, although
it was a “moving event” for many people. Including for Serge deFault!
He was in a tall building that swayed during the quake. Wow!
The U.S. Geological Survey has an Earthquake website with all kinds
of fascinating information. Yesterday their “Earthquake Fact” con-
cerned Inge Lehmann. She was a Danish seismologist who discovered
Earth’s inner and outer cores, and the only woman to win the Medal
of the Seismological Society of America. She also lived to the age of 105!
